This kind and loving husband contacted me about a surprise gift for Christmas – a gift certificate for a photography session for the two of them together! It’s a lovely gift for anyone, to tell them you love them so much you want to celebrate that love by getting portraits taken together to cherish forever. So we set up the gift certificate for him to put under the tree, and it was awesome to finally meet this amazing couple for their fall session!
They just wanted beautiful, casual portraits of the two of them together as a couple, without any fancy props or elaborate set ups — just them, just their personalities shining through, just their happy smiles. We had a great time at our session, thanks for choosing me for this wonderful and thoughtful gift for your wife!
This shot was almost a last minute decision, and it was getting pretty dark but I’m so glad we took the time to shoot it. This sums up this fun and loving couple perfectly — the motorcycle, their laid back style and their precious furbaby. I love this shot!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all my fabulous clients from 2013 for making it a really stellar year!! I had the opportunity to meet some amazing families, couples, children and high school seniors as well as local artists and business people for headshots and I truly enjoyed working with all of you. Here are the highlights from the year. In 2013 I had two of my images accepted into juried shows, saw my work featured on several fantastic websites devoted to inspirational photography, was honoured to be interviewed for a few online blogs for senior photography and film work, developed dozens of rolls of film, saw two Ron Burgundy impersonations from hilarious clients, lost countless lens caps, and spotted about a hundred deer in the woods. Pretty good year, in all.
Can’t wait to see what this year brings!
