Pretty Texas Style Senior Portraits The Woodlands

What makes a senior session all Texan? Pretty senior styling, a country location with plenty of sunshine, jean shorts and of course – cowboy boots! This senior looks absolutely gorgeous in white and blue against the greenery and wood, with her long hair perfectly styled and just a bit of wind.  This senior came to me from Cypress for her senior pictures, and I’m so honoured she chose to make the drive! The buildings in the back and the wooden bridge add something extra to the first series of her senior photoshoot, before we moved to the field. It’s nice to have a little variety in your senior pictures!

Natural Senior Portraits – The Woodlands Texas

This lovely senior session has everything I love about taking senior pictures — a beautiful day, a great location, sunshine and flowers, and a happy soon-to-be graduate excited to celebrate senior year and the great future ahead!

My philosophy for senior pictures is to take timeless, classic portraits that will never go out of style. We want you to look *like you* but styled and polished, fresh from the salon. The poses will be fun and stylish, but not contrived or juvenile, or overly adult looking. You’ll look just as you are – fun, young, carefree and ready to face whatever life throws your way! Graduation and Glitter – The Woodlands Seniors

Graduation celebration – with glitter! When you’re a senior, there’s a lot to celebrate. You’re upcoming high school graduation, your freshman year of college coming up, a whole new life starting, it’s a fantastic time! For your senior pictures or for a special grad portrait mini session, here’s a few ideas for some fun senior grad portraits.

GLITTER. Always a fun shot! Bring glitter that matches your school colours if you can. If not, gold is a great choice since it catches the sunlight perfectly.

HAND SIGNALS.  You probably already know where you’re headed come September. Texas schools especially are known for having unique hand signals for their schools. Learn yours so you can show friends and family where you’re off to next year. Also bring your COLLEGE SHIRT. A great idea for sharing on Instagram with your new school. Wear your shirt, upload the photo and tag the school to share in the fun. Also a great shot for announcements!

SHOW YOUR ROOTS with detail shots. No matter where you’re off to next year, show your home state pride by adding touches of Texas such as cowboy boots. For a special graduation touch, you can chalk your graduation year onto the soles of your boots for a fun shot to remember all the details!

Graduation Portraits – The Woodlands Senior Photographer

Congratulations to these brothers and sister who are all graduating from high school! We shot their cap and gown graduation portraits on a beautiful sunny day in the park. Graduation cap and gown portraits make for the perfect print to include in your senior graduation announcements. These siblings will have their cap and gown prints included in the envelope with their graduation announcement, so friends and family can have a keepsake of their achievement. Senior Photography Outdoors in the Woodlands

This golden glowing light is the most beautiful setting for a senior portrait session in the Woodlands, for natural portraits outdoors. This is the beautiful golden hour we wait for, at the end of the session, to surround you with a gorgeous glow for your senior pictures! This senior chose one of the most photogenic colours as well – blue for the first part of her session and shades of fuchsia and raspberry for this latter half of her senior pictures. It matches the greenery perfectly, and is a beautiful tone for your senior portraits.

Graduation Announcements – The Woodlands Senior Pictures

Custom designed senior and graduation announcements are the perfect way to get exactly what you want, in the style you want, to get your message to your friends and family. I work with seniors and parents to choose the best size, style, and design for your needs. Flat cards, in either 5×5 or 5×7 size, are a cost effective option. Or you can choose a more elaborate 5×5 or 5×7 trifold card, to add more images and text. All announcements come in packs of 25, and include envelopes. There are dozens of press paper card stock options, from environmentally friendly recycled eco-matte to luxuriant enhanced linen or felt textured paper. I have swatches in my office, to show you exactly how these press papers look and feel.

Simple flat cards highlight a few of your fave shots, with a small space on the front or back for the main text.

Trifold cards allow you to put more images and text, and more creativity when designing. Depending on if your card is a simple grad announcement, or a party invitation, your design can include the senior’s name, high school information, date of graduation or party, the University or College the student will be attending in the fall with the chosen major, and any specific notes your friends and family would need to know for the grad party.
